![]() They are the Five and Dime stores of the 21st Century. I’m on Main Street in East Hartford several days a week. I got one for a Yankee game end of season series against Tampa, someone couldn't use the tix, the game where Lowe hit like 9 home runs, they got blown out. If you're someone who gets THAT many lastminute requests for a game or show and you need to attend ALL of them, then I would probably consider leaving CT for that reason. It was 1/3rd the commute of Milford-NYC from my town at game times. Nashville was the only city I lived close enough to partake in last minute sporting event or play plans. Now yes, if you live in say Riverside, you cut the length in half, but from Norwalk on, you will spend more time in transit than at the actual game or show. But to be frank, no one will take advantage of a lastminute let's see a game offer when the transit both ways will approach or surpass 4 hours. NY is fine for a well planned, long in advance day trip. I did go to games in NYC last minute decades back, while at Fordham. ![]()
